THUNDER BAY, ON, CANADA, November 26, 2010 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- George Woods has been accepted among the prestigious ranks of Stanford Who's Who as a result of his extraordinary effort in the Landscaping Industry. As Owner and Operator of Woods Landscaping for the past 63 years, Mr. Woods has routinely exhibited the passion, vision and dedication necessary to be considered among the best.
Woods Landscaping is a company which offers a wide variety of property beautifying services. In addition to general landscaping services, they also provide design, installation and maintenance service for rock work, gardens, walkways, trees, shrubs, driveways, retaining walls, fences, decks, sidewalks and more.
Woods Landscaping is a community oriented business that has a program in place with the local school district which helps high school students who have dropped out of school to finish their schooling. For this program, George was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation from Lake Head Public Schools.
During his educational career, George graduated from the agriculture and horticulture program at the University of Saskatchewan in 1950. He serves as a Sir Knight for the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Woods has also personally donated $100,000 to the Sisters of St. Joseph's Hospitals and $50,000 to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Center.
