UAE Company Wins $3.4 Million Judgment in West Palm Beach Fraud Case
A Federal Judge awarded Al Hewar Environmental & Public Health Est. a $3,379,500 judgment in damages as a result of a civil suit filed in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
WEST PALM BEACH, FL, December 18, 2011 /Small Business PR News/ -- A Federal Judge, The Honorable Daniel T.K. Hurley, today awarded Al Hewar Environmental & Public Health Est., a company located in the United Arab Emirates, a $3,379,500 judgment in damages as a result of a civil suit filed in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
In March 2008 Al Hewar entered into a contract with Southeast Ranch LLC. for the delivery of 16,400 metric tons of hay. Southeast Ranch failed to deliver the hay in accordance with the contract forcing Al Hewar to cancel a contract with the government of Abu Dhabi.
In July, 2010 Al Hewar retained the services of Dennis E. Boyle and the firm of Boyle, Autry and Murphy and filed suit against Defendants, Southeast Ranch, LLC and Joel Gutierrez for fraud and breach of contract under International Law
Dennis E, Boyle, Esquire, a partner at Boyle, Autry & Murphy, stated "We are pleased with the verdict, particularly the $500,000 in punitive damages for fraud."
